The end of the year is a great opportunity to look back and reflect on what we have done so far. 2021 has been a year of trust and growth with business-critical decisions and crucial achievements. Most importantly, we managed to create a solid foundation for both the company and the service.

The NGI DAPSI project and the investment from LU Holding helped CanaryBit to make sure that we build the right product. The IETF standardisation activities funded through StandICT.eu helped us contribute to making confidential computing a mainstream technology. Finally, being one of the 5 finalists of the SEB Open Innovation Challenge was one more of the long list of achievements in 2021.

Finally, in 2021 CanaryBit increased its community contribution efforts. CanaryBit became a member of several international and local organisations such as the Confidential Computing Consortium and Gaia-X Sweden. Together we help solve some of the most pressing challenges is data security and confidential data collaboration.

Our motivation and energy are extremely high and we firmly believe in having skin in the game. Starting January 2022 both co-founders will fully focus on CanaryBit. We will also welcome a new cryptography R&D engineer to our team – more on that soon.

Thank you for a great 2021, see you again in 2022!
